Hitting the road! 13-City Summer Tour
Nothing beats meeting people face-to-face. So, in a week, small teams from Meetup HQ will visit 13 cities to meet Meetup Organizers. Come share and hear Meetup stories and ideas!
If you are going to be in one of those towns, we'd love for you to join us.

Assistant/Co-Organizers and potential Organizers are welcome too.
If you can join us, email RSVP to meetuptour@meetup.com by 10PM on Monday 6/9/08, EST. Please include your name, city of the tour, and names of guests. (Also, if you know a great place for the actual Meetup in these cities, please suggest it!)
This will be a blast! We'll blog about it as we go. So check back here for updates & photos.
PS. We wish we could make it to more cities. If you self-organize a Meetup of 25 Organizers of different Meetup Groups in your town at http://organizer.meetup.com, we'll try to make it! (Can't promise, but we'll try!)

Why not come out to Chicago, IL.
37Signals did help you guys create your site and there are lots of meetups all around Chicago.
TOTALLY SHOCKED to see Los Angeles not on the list. Us Angelenos are doing our part to make Meetup a viable force in the city - it's a better run site than y'all local competitor My People Connection - but, yet, we find ourselves snubbed. I'm very disappointed.
Chicago and LA would have been great to visit too... I grew up in Chicago, so I'd love any excuse to go back -- especially in the early summer!
FYI, over the years we've met with Organizers in places that we are not visiting this time around.... Southern California, Toronto, Cincinnati, Chicago, Houston, Tokyo, London, Seatle, Portland, Paris, etc. Hearing their stories and watching them help each other is really inspiring for us.
We'd love to go to more cities in the future. So if you think there are a bunch of Meetup Organizers in your town that we should meet with, email us (meetuptour@meetup.com). If there is good demand from Organizers in your town we can keep it in mind for future trips. Better yet - join or start an Organizer Meetup. Organize a Meetup and invite us. If it is doable we'll try to come out (can't promise, but we'll try).
Please visit Dallas, TX! It's a great city to visit and lots of friendly people!
Where in Austin will you be? There are atleast 2 of us from Austin Scrapers and Stampers wanting to attend next week.

I am a recent Meetup enthusiast and would love to learn more about the company behind the concept. In fact, I am so enamored with the Meetup mission of bringing people together, I would like to join Meetup team.
Any chance there would be room for one more body in the Meetup Movement meeting in San Francisco this Sunday? I would love to attend.

With gas prices the way they are we are lucky that you guys haven't canceled this venture. I was wondering if I could still come to the meeting in San Antonio? I didnt think my schedule would permit it at first, but since I can make it now, I would love to meet with you guys.
I'm really really bummed I missed the Orlando visit. I had planned to go straight from work but I had an unexpected family situation that kept me from being able to attend.
