"One touch of nature makes the whole world kin," as Shakespeare pointed out. And you don't have to look very far to find evidence of this on Meetup -- especially during Earth Week!
Looks like lots of Meetup groups decided to celebrate with various service projects and community festivities. Perusing the Meetup radar, I noticed neighborhood fairs, Earth Day themed hikes, even an electric car parade!
I especially like the Meetup hosted by the . These "Hearts of the South" will connect with their community's week long initiative to make their neighborhood beautiful. They're volunteering on Saturday to "make Biloxi litter free and get healthy and active at the same time."
Their Organizer Steve is committed to activism and "the basic goodness of the human experience." He started his Humanism Meetup in 2006 and it looks like his mission keeps gaining momentum!
Happy Earth Day to Steve, his members, and to all you fellow denizens of this lovely planet!
