From the We're-Totally-Impressed Meetup Archive...
Finding a venue can be a challenge for any Meetup Organizer.
But when you're expecting a couple dozen ukulele players at your next Meetup, the challenge is increased exponentially.
That's the position the Organizers of the Dallas Ukulele Headquarters Meetup Group found themselves in recently. Where do you meetup with that many musicians?
And they came up with a brilliant solution: the Organizers hit up a local restaurant owner, who allowed them to meet in the restaurant when it was normally closed.
So for their Beginners Workshop and Jam Session, the ukulele players had a great place to practice, and the restaurant owner made money when they normally would have been closed by serving the players during their Meetup.
It was a win-win situation for everyone.
Plus, there was some amazing music! The members and Organizers who came out had a blast learning how to make great music together.
We're totally impressed! Way to go, folks.
