If there's one thing I really like, it's seeing successful Meetup Groups prospering abroad. That's why I was thrilled when I saw this article about Meetup in Metropolitan, Barcelona's Magazine in English.

Looking for a cool and cheap night out in historic Raval? The Cinebar Barcelona Meetup organizes a movie night (either classic or cult) every other week. 

 

Girls in search of fun company shouldn't miss the Barcelona Women Activities & Travel Group, where they can meet other ladies to hike and cycle, eat tapas, or just enjoy a drink by the pool.

Hey Mercedes, Meetup seems to have a natural home here in Barcelona. I think the reason it works so well is because there's a lot of open minded individuals (both expats and locals) that want to mix with one and other, be it for languages reasons or culture. I run the movie meetup Cinebar, with a friend (who also runs the photography meetup, Barcelona Raw) and we get a real kick out of it.

Thanks to you guys for such a great website to organize through, we only ever get good and positive feedback!
