Photo section enhancements

A picture is worth a thousand words, and Meetup Groups use photos to tell all kinds of stories. Approximately 500,000 photos were uploaded this month, and the number keeps growing.

We’ve made some enhancements to the photos section to make the page load faster, improve overall usability and to address some of the feedback you’ve given us over the past year…

1. The maximum number of photos per album has increased from 100 to 500
2. Clicking on “Photos” on the left hand side of your Meetup Group will take you to the ‘All photo albums’ page
3. When viewing photos in an album, click “PLAY SLIDESHOW” to see all of that album’s photos in a slick, new slideshow
4. The thumbnail strip of all photos within an album has been removed. Thumbnails are now displayed to the right of a photo. You can see 24 at a time.
