Co-Organizers and more!

It’s now even easier to allow members to help manage your Meetup Group with the new “Co-Organizer” role (along with some other enhancements)!

Here’s what’s new:

1 - New role: Co-Organizers

Organizers can now make any member a ‘Co-Organizer’ - giving them access to the same features the Organizer has to manage the group. Co-Organizers can do everything an Organizer can do including the ability to view and manage transactions in the Money section (Note: only Organizers can receive payments from members).

To make any member a ‘Co-Organizer’, click the gear icon next to their name in the Members list or add them to the list of Co-Organizers from ‘Member roles’ in Group Settings.

From “Manage roles” in Group Settings

2 - New tab: The Leadership Team

A new ‘Leadership Team’ tab on the Members page now lists the Meetup Group’s Organizer, Co-Organizers, Assistant Organizers and Event Organizers in one place. The name of your ‘Leadership Team’ can be also customized to whatever you like!

To customize the name of your ‘Leadership Team’, click the ‘Customize The Leadership Team’ link. From the ‘Member roles’ page, click the pencil icon next to ‘The Leadership Team’.

3 - Updates to the top-left module

Additional updates to the top-left module make it easier for current and prospective members to learn more about who organizes the group.

1. Co-Organizers will be listed in a section directly under the Organizer.

2. A new link titled ‘View the Leadership Team’ will appear, allowing people to visit the new Leadership Team tab and see who helps run the Meetup Group.

3. If you have Co-Organizers, a new ‘Contact us’ button will allow people to send an email that goes to both the Organizer and Co-Organizers.

Thanks!
