Add HTML to your Meetup Group’s description!
A Meetup Group’s headline and description are two of the most important things potential members look at when deciding whether or not they are going to join a group. To help Meetup Organizers and Co-Organizers customize their group home pages, we’ve made it easier to edit their group’s headline and description… and, most exciting of all, now they can add HTML to the group’s description!
When an Organizer rolls over their group’s description or headline they’ll see an ‘edit’ button.
When Organizers edit the group’s description, the interface conveniently displays how it will look as they edit, with an easy to use HTML editor. Or, click the ‘HTML’ button and switch to directly edit the HTML code for even more control.
Organizers can create vibrant, exciting pages to give potential members a better understanding of what the group is about, what the Meetups are like, etc… Bold and increase the font size of important sentences, link to important pages, or add photos telling the story of your Meetup.
You can add most HTML tags related to basic layout. We currently strip out table and DIV tags, as well as script tags (and class and style attributes). Only Organizers and Co-Organizers can edit the headline and group description.
