Happy birthday to all of us!

It’s Meetup’s tenth birthday, but you deserve the credit for getting us all here.

That’s why we want to give one of you a trip to any Meetup in the world!

Between June 11 and July 15, RSVP and attend a local Meetup and you are automatically entered to win.

You can enter up to five times by going to five different Meetups — but of course, you have to click that lil’ RSVP button and get your Meetup shoes on during this birthday celebration. Get all the rules below.

You could meetup with hikers in the Alps, moms in Hawaii, techies in New York City… We’ll cover the cost of the winner’s hotel and airfare up to $5,000. All you have to do is explore Meetups near you.

1.    The Entries:
a.     The 10th Birthday Celebration (the “Promotion”) starts on June 12, 2012, at 12:01 AM Eastern Time and ends on July 15, 2012, at 11:59 PM Eastern Time (“Promotion Period”).
b.     All members that RSVP on the www.meetup.com site to a Meetup event during the Promotion Period that has received a total of at least 4 RSVPs during the Promotion Period will be entered in the Promotion.
c.      Up to five entries per member account.

2.    The Prize:
a.     Prize consists of reimbursement of airfare and hotel expenses up to $5,000 to attend a Meetup event anywhere in the world.
b.     Travel must commence before January 1, 2013.
c.     Attendance at the Meetup event selected by the winner is subject to approval of the organizer of that selected Meetup Group.

3.    The Winner:
a.     One prize will be awarded to the winning member who RSVPed (the “RSVPer”).
b.     Winner agrees to allow Meetup to use his/her name, voice, performance photograph/video, image and/or likeness for programming, advertising, publicity and promotional, without compensation (unless prohibited by law) or additional consents from entrant or any third party and without prior notice, approval or inspection, and to execute specific consent to such use if asked to do so.

4.    The Drawing:
a.     The potential winning RSVPer will be chosen at random on July 16, 2012 and winning RSVPer will be notified by email.
b.      If you RSVPed to and attended more than one Meetup event, the winning Meetup will also be chosen at random by us from among those events.

5.    The Eligibility Requirements:
a.     The winning member must have a valid account and email address at the time of RSVP and the time of drawing and must not be in violation of Meetup’s Terms of Service.
b.     Attendance at the Meetup event is subject to verification by the organizer.

6.    The Other Rules:
a.     Odds of winning are dependent on the number of entries received.
b.     This promotion is also governed by the provisions of the Meetup Terms of Service (available at www.meetup.com/terms), to the extent applicable.
c.      You agree to release us from claims, demands, and damages in relation to your entry in the Promotion.
d.     By participating in the Promotion, each entrant agrees to hold us and our officers, directors, shareholders, agents, employees, consultants, affiliates, subsidiaries and third-party partners harmless from any claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys’ fee from any and all injuries, liability, losses and damages of any kind, from entrant’s participation in the Promotion or any Promotion-related activity or the acceptance of the awarded prize.
e.     All decisions will be made by Meetup, Inc. in their sole discretion and are final.
f.      Any and all taxes on the prize, and any other costs, fees, and expenses not explicitly stated herein as being awarded, are the sole responsibility of the winner.
g.     This promotion is governed by the laws of the State of New York applicable to contracts entered into and wholly performed therein.
h.     There is no cost to enter. Offer void where prohibited by law. Promotion is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws.
i.       Meetup employees and members of their immediate families (spouse, mother, father, sister, brother, ward, daughter or son) and persons living in the same household of such employees are not eligible to win.
