New Feature: Get more members that are a better fit for your group!

Big news for Organizers of private Meetup Groups! You can now give potential members a better idea of what your Meetup is about—and still keep the most sensitive information private.

Millions of people come to Meetup each month searching for something awesome to join. If your Meetup Group is private, all of your Meetups are, by default, hidden from non-members. That’s a lot of missed opportunities to draw in new members.

If you update your settings, you can now share the Meetup name, date and time, and RSVP count so potential members know your Meetup is active and events are planned. The location, description, comments, and attendee names and photos will remain private, just like before.

Try this new option by going to Privacy in your Group Settings and selecting the “Limited information about Meetup events” option.
